Biography
Krisztina Megyeri, born in 1974 in Budapest to a Hungarian mother and a Russian father, is a highly accomplished composer and pianist. She completed her studies at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon. Her music commands attention across Europe, with performances by prestigious organizations such as the Théâtre du Châtelet and Orchestre National de Lorraine, and has been recorded by prominent outlets including Radio France, SWR, Finnish and Hungarian Radio. Notable works include her first opera "Frühlings Erwachen" (2018) and "Nousnoyons-nous" (2003), both premiered in Budapest. Krisztina is adept at composing for a variety of settings, including symphonic orchestras, vocal music, and instrumental ensembles. Her new CD "Horizon brûlé", featuring 3 song cycles, is just published. Her diverse repertoire reflects her artistic vision and commitment to excellence in contemporary music.
